Welcome back everyone, we hope you had a wonderful and relaxing summer! Christian Catering looks forward to continuing our tradition of providing the highest quality lunches for your children and we have been working on some exciting new ideas we hope you will like. For starters, you will notice a re-vamped menu with some new, healthy options and some old favorites which will be available on a daily basis. At the top of every menu, there will be a listing of these items and you simply write them in on the “other” line if you want something other than the main entrée. We hope you’ll find something that appeals to you every day! We will also be offering some healthier options along with ice cream such as baked chips, yogurt and fresh fruit cups.

Some important guidelines and a few changes of which you need to be aware:

Please make the kitchen aware of any allergies your child may have.

All outstanding balances, including prior year balances must be paid before ice cream cards are issued.

The menus will no longer be sent home via backpack mail. They will be available strictly online and we are working a procedure to have it emailed directly to each parent’s provided email address. If you do not have email or access to the internet, please call the kitchen and we can get you a hard copy.

Due to the cost of the quality goods we receive, a slight price increase was necessary.

Lunch order forms will be available online by the 15^th of every month and should be returned on or before the requested due date. We need time to process these forms and create a count sheet so that we know what to prepare each day. If we receive a lunch order form after the menu starts, a late fee of $5.00 will be charged. This is a change from last year in which the late fee was charged if the order was received after the due date. When we receive late forms after our paperwork has been printed, it results in having to use more paper and ink to reprint and update our counts.

Please fill out one form per child.

Please indicate on your lunch form any special request. For instance, if you want to order a peanut butter sandwich with no jelly, a turkey sandwich with no cheese, buttered noodles on spaghetti day, no dressing on a salad, etc.

Be sure to write down the days you order on a calendar. If there is a question as to whether or not you have ordered for your child, please call the kitchen. If ever there is a doubt, please send your child with money to purchase lunch.

We understand that children forget their lunch on occasion. In this case, we will provide a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and you will be billed accordingly. IOU’s should be remitted upon receipt of the notice to avoid repeated billing.

If you have not ordered for your child and you wish to buy lunch for them on a particular day, you may send money with them to purchase. However, we require that they bring their money to the kitchen first thing in the morning and let us know what they want to eat so we are sure to have it available. If they do not do this, we cannot guarantee their first choice.

Your help with these simple guidelines will make the whole process flow smoothly for everyone, your children included. We appreciate your continued support and if there is ever a question or problem, please don’t hesitate to call.
