YOUTH PROGRAMS

Prince of Peace supports parents in providing for the faith journey of their children by offering opportunities for children to grow in faith, community, and a love of the Lord. We do this through faith formation in both Parish School of Religion (PSR) and Prince of Peace Catholic School, community building through youth groups, and by supporting appropriate worship habits with Tiny Disciples and Kids' Church.

These efforts are only possible through the generosity of our volunteer catechists. It takes at least 50 adults every Sunday to provide faith formation for our children. Please consider sharing an hour of your time and talents on Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings. If you would like to receive more information, please complete the form found HERE.

Our church nursery provides a safe and caring place for little ones ages 6 months through 2 years to enjoy Bible stories, crafts, and play while parents attend Mass. There is no cost for the nursery.

SUNDAYS 8:30AM & 11AM

Kids' Church is for students in grades Kindergarten through 2nd grade who would benefit from hearing the Liturgy of the Word on a more child-friendly level. Children are dismissed from Mass before the Liturgy of the Word and return after the homily. They will hear the Sunday readings proclaimed from the Children’s Lectionary and will be engaged in age-appropriate discussions about the readings based on the Gospel reading. No sign-up is needed.

DURING THE SUNDAY 8:30AM & 11AM MASSES

As parents, we brought our children into the Church through the sacrament of baptism. At that time, the celebrant reminded us that we were “undertaking the responsibility of raising the child in the faith…”. Prince of Peace offers formation instruction for students in Kindergarten through 10th grade from 9:45am – 10:45am each Sunday. Classes are designed to engage children in developing a personal relationship with Christ while learning about the blessings and gifts God offers through the Catholic Church. Please register for class in your ParishSOFT account and click on the Religious Education link on the left of the screen. If you have any questions, please contact the Religious Education Department.

SUNDAYS 9:45AM–10:45AM
Epic - Logo.png

At Prince of Peace, EPIC is all about helping our middle school youth get excited about their faith and sharing it with others. Our goal is to introduce students to Jesus in a way that is exciting and relevant to today’s youth. We help them learn to become Christ-focused by getting involved in our church community while enjoying great activities and developing lasting friendships. They will learn about the importance of being Christ to others through service, as we help develop their understanding that as a child of God, they are fearfully and wonderfully made.

WEDNESDAYS 6PM–7:30PM

High school marks the transition years where our youth prepare themselves to enter the adult world. It's a time of growth, discovery, and transformation. Whether they are preparing for college or a career, the high school student needs the love and support of other faith-filled friends who understand the unique challenges and opportunities they face. Our High School Youth Group provides the perfect place for teens to find that support .
